On May 12 afternoon, Xu, Kezhen, Vice Governor of Hubei Province, accompanied by Hu, Lishan, the Standing Committee of Wuhan City and Work Committee of East Lake Development Zone, went to Wuhan KOTEI Technology Co., Ltd. to start research the work on the development and application of automotive autonomous driving technology. Chen, Xinwu, Deputy Secretary General of the Hubei provincial government, Wang, Dongfeng, Deputy Director of Provincial Science and Technology Department, Bu, Jiangrong, deputy director of Provincial Commission of Economy and Information Technology, Xia, Yamin, deputy director of the Development Zone and other leaders to participate in research, study and plan to accelerate innovation and industrial development of the province in automotive electronics and autonomous driving technology.Dongfeng Motor, the provincial high-tech investment, Sanhuan Group and other units attended the research.

Xu, Kezhen and his party visited KOTEI’s factory located in Phoenix Mountain Industrial Park of East Lake Hi-Tech Development Zone and were interested to test ride of "Dream of Optics Valley" autonomous driving car, developed by KOTEI.

Xu, Kezhen pointed out, KOTEI does something meaningful in the absence of the national project inputs, active independent innovation, its actions and initiatives are admirable, the results achieved KOTEI expressed are appreciation and congratulations. Meanwhile, Xu, Kezhen stressed that the global auto industry competition will become more intense, especially in the autonomous driving and new energy direction. Currently 70% of the value of high-end cars is from automotive electronics. Hubei province as a large car province, takes the initiative to adapt to the new competitive situation, increases the forefront of automotive technological innovation, technology and innovation to improve the competitiveness of the automotive industry, the automobile industry should achieve change from large to strong.
